Children between 5 and 10 years old will be charged the Child price. Below 5 years old, no charge.

We serve mainly Penang cuisine such as Penang Char Kway Teow, Assam Laksa, Penang Hokkien Mee, Beef Rendang, Assam Prawns, Lobak (chicken), Fruits Rojak, Chendol and much more.

The buffet spread starts from at least 30 items.
We do not serve pork or lard in the restaurant and our meats are from halal certified vendors. The restaurant is not certified because we serve alcoholic beverages such as beer and wine. However, many Muslims are our regular restaurant and catering customers as they consider our food to be acceptable.

Drinks are sold separately. For buffet diners, coffee & tea are charged at just $1++/cup. Usual price is $2.90++/cup.

There is a corkage charge of $20++/bottle. Alternatively, you may select from our wide range of wines.

Outside food is not allowed. For special dietary request, you may email your request and we will try our best to accommodate.

The restaurant can seat 350 pax.

We do not have a stage nor a projector. You can however, bring your own projector and use our portable 80inch projector screen. We do have a wireless and a wired microphone.

We accept VISA, MasterCard, NETS or Cash at the restaurant. Online payment is via PayNow using 199803916KUOB.

Yes, advance bookings are recommended to avoid disappointment. Calling for reservations (64677003) is preferred. You may also wish to email your reservation to catering@penangplace.com.

For festive periods and weekends, it is highly recommended to reserve early to avoid disappointment.

There are 3 VIPs rooms. Each room has a 6 feet round table which can seat up to 12 pax. The VIP rooms can be combined into 1 big room or split into 2 + 1 room.

There are no surcharges for booking the VIP room. However, there is a minimum chargeable of 10 buffet diners PER ROOM. Every person in the room will be considered as a buffet diner as a la carte orders are not permitted in the room.

Catering

The catering minimum is 30 pax at $29/pax for 10 items (8 main, 1 dessert & 1 drink). A surcharge of $3/pax applies for orders on Friday dinner, Saturdays, Sundays, Eve of & on Public Holidays.

We provide tables with table cloths and overlays for the buffet spread, all necessary food warmers with food labels, serving utensils, eco-friendly disposable dining ware based on selected menu and required equipment for on-site blanching.

You may opt to rent all necessary porcelain, stainless steel & glass dining ware, base on ordered menu at $10+/pax. Kindly note that rental of wine glasses are charged separately at $2/glass.

Yes, you may hire a Chef to fry the Char Kway Teow, at $250/chef ($300/chef on Friday evening, Saturday, Sunday, Eve of & on Public Holidays) for 3 hours or when all the ingredients are consumed, whichever comes first. The Char Kway Teow is the only station that requires a Chef to cook from scratch.
Other “live” stations which require on site preparation are the Hokkien Mee (Prawn Noodle Soup), Assam Laksa, Mee Jawa, Curry Mee, Jiu Hu Eng Chai, Kueh Pie Tee, Chendol & Ice Kachang
– $30/staff per hour on regular weekdays
– $40/staff/hour for Friday Dinner, Saturday, Sunday, Eves of & On Public Holidays. Subject to GST and availability.

For orders below the catering minimum, you may opt for the mini buffet delivery which does not include any setup and all items will be packed in disposable containers.

This is not encouraged as the halved items are highly likely to run out fast. This will in turn reflect badly on both the host and caterer.
According to NEA requirements, catered or delivered food is to be consumed within 4 hours from the time it is cooked and ready to eat. As such, clear up is usually within 3 hours from the Ready By Time.

Yes, you may, subject to availability. However, in view of NEA’s consume by time, Penang Place will not be held responsible for any illness which may arise from the delayed consumption of our food.

Please note the surcharges for the following time extension: $60/hour or $90/hour after 10pm. Charges are subject to GST.
Payment is to be made in full upon delivery by Cash, Cheque or E-Transfer. Cheques are to be written to Barachel Management Services Pte Ltd. E-transfer can be made via PayNow using: 199803916KUOB.
Payment by Credit Card via online invoicing will be subjected to a 4% Credit Card charge.

Yes. Rental of all necessary fine dining ware, based on selected menu, is available at $10/pax. Price is subject to GST.

There is no minimum order but a $60 delivery charge applies. Subject to 7% GST.

Yes, disposable dining ware will be provided.

All food items will be packed and delivered in disposable containers and no setup will be provided.
